Lulu Announces Farewell Tour After 60-Year Music Career

After an illustrious 60-year journey in the music industry, Scottish icon Lulu is bidding adieu to touring with her final hurrah, ‘Champagne For Lulu’. Famous for her Eurovision victory with ‘Boom Bang-a-Bang’ and her timeless hit ‘Shout’, Lulu, at 72, plans to celebrate the remarkable milestone of her first single’s 60th anniversary with a farewell tour this April. Tickets for this much-anticipated tour are now available, promising fans a unique experience filled with beloved classics and special surprises.

In an intimate conversation on Gyles Brandreth’s ‘Rosebud’ podcast, Lulu shared insights into what fans can expect, hinting at the inclusion of ‘Boom Bang-a-Bang’ and other special touches that will make this tour unlike any she’s done before. Reflecting on her previous tour in 2023 as “gruelling,” Lulu emphasized her growth and resilience, ready to embrace vulnerability and do things differently at 75.

Lulu’s remarkable career took off at 15 with her band Lulu & the Luvvers covering the Isley Brothers’ ‘Shout’. Her journey also spans acting, with a notable performance in the 1967 film To Sir, With Love and its chart-topping title track. With her Eurovision win in 1969 and memorable contributions to the James Bond franchise, Lulu has left an indelible mark on the entertainment world.
